About the New Statesman / Pfizer Policy Forum
The healthcare sector is undergoing significant change both in the UK and across the world, and the impacts resulting from these changes are far-reaching. Opening up dialogue and generating discussion amongst a wide-range of stakeholders is crucial to managing this process and building sustainable and successful reform for the future.
The New Statesman/Pfizer Policy Forum aims to encourage such a dialogue, bringing together leading opinion formers from across industry, government, regulators, think tanks, academics, professional, patient and consumer groups and the media to discuss the key issues facing the healthcare sector today.
The annual programme consists of six live debates covering topics such as how devolution will affect health care provision, the role of public policy in tackling addiction and how to market public health. An edited transcript of each debate will be published in a supplement in the New Statesman. All of the supplements will be available to download from this site.
There is also a chance for you to take part in the debate. The New Statesman/Pfizer Policy Forum will ask some of the most influential and committed healthcare professionals to give their views on a range of topics. Our online forum will allow you to post your views on these topics. We hope you will share your thoughts and ideas with us.
